Mr. Brouns started as a criminal lawyer in 2015 and joined Coumans and Van Gaalen Criminal Lawyers in March 2023. In addition to committal (juvenile) criminal law (murder, manslaughter, burglaries, home robberies, etc.), she specializes in TBS cases and assists clients in criminal cases in which TBS is imminent. 

She also assists clients who are subjected to a PIJ measure and deals with penitentiary law.  She is a member of the NVJSA (Dutch Association of Young Criminal Lawyers) and the association of TBS lawyers.

Mr. Brouns has registered the following main and secondary specializations in the Register of Legal Areas of the Netherlands Bar Association:

• Juvenile Criminal Law
• TBS

Pursuant to this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points in each registered main area of law each calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
