Mr. Coumans has practiced criminal law since 1989 and is one of the founders of the firm. He focuses primarily on community criminal cases, such as major drug investigations, hemp plantations and deprivation proceedings. He also deals with psychiatric patient law.

He is a member of the NVSA (Dutch Association of Criminal Lawyers).

Mr. Coumans has registered the following main specializations in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Netherlands Bar Association:

Pursuant to this registration, he is required to obtain ten training points in each registered main area of law each calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Mr. Coumans is sinds 1989 werkzaam als strafrechtadvocaat en is één van de oprichters van kantoor. Hij houdt zich voornamelijk bezig met commune strafzaken, zoals grote drugsonderzoeken, hennepplantages en ontnemingsprocedures. Verder houdt hij zich bezig met het psychiatrisch patiëntenrecht.

Hij is lid van de NVSA (Nederlandse Vereniging van Strafrechtadvocaten).

Mr. Coumans heeft in het rechtsgebiedenregister van de Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten de volgende hoofdspecialisaties geregistreerd:

Op grond van deze registratie is hij verplicht elk kalenderjaar volgens de normen van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten tien opleidingspunten te behalen op ieder geregistreerd hoofdrechtsgebied.
