Mr. Van den Berg has been an attorney since Feb. 13, 2013, and has joined Coumans & Van Gaalen Criminal Lawyers as of October 2019. Mr. Van den Berg’s practice focuses entirely on criminal law. Most of it includes community cases such as theft (with violence), handling, burglary, assault, (internet) scams and investigations related to (hard) drugs cases.

Mr. Van den Berg is also registered with the Legal Aid Board as a specialist in juvenile criminal law. She knows the institutions and parties involved in the juvenile justice chain, which allows her to professionally assist her juvenile clients and their parent(s)/guardian(s) from the very first moment with commitment in the right areas.

Mr. Van den Berg also assists her clients in objection procedures concerning the Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and objections against the inclusion of DNA in the conviction database.

She is a member of the NVSA (Dutch Association of Criminal Lawyers). Mr. Van den Berg has registered the following main specializations in the register of areas of law of the Netherlands Bar Association:

Pursuant to this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points in each registered main area of law each calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Mr. Van den Berg is advocaat sinds 13 februari 2013 en heeft zich per oktober 2019 aangesloten bij Coumans & Van Gaalen Strafrechtadvocaten. De praktijk van mr. Van den Berg richt zich volledig op het strafrecht. Het grootste deel omvat commune zaken zoals diefstal (met geweld), heling, inbraak, mishandeling, (internet)oplichting en onderzoeken in verband met (hard)drugszaken.

Mr. Van den Berg is ook als specialist in het jeugdstrafrecht ingeschreven bij de Raad voor Rechtsbijstand. Zij kent de instanties en betrokkenen in de jeugdstrafrechtketen, waardoor zij haar minderjarige cliënten en hun ouder(s)/verzorger(s) vanaf het eerste moment professioneel kan bijstaan met inzet op de juiste vlakken.  

Mr. Van den Berg staat haar cliënten ook bij in bezwaarprocedures rondom de Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag (VOG) en bezwaarschriften tegen de opname van DNA in de databank veroordeelden.

Zij is lid van de NVSA (Nederlandse Vereniging van Strafrechtadvocaten).

Mr. Van den Berg heeft in het rechtsgebiedenregister van de Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten de volgende hoofdspecialisaties geregistreerd:

Op grond van deze registratie is zij verplicht elk kalenderjaar volgens de normen van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten tien opleidingspunten te behalen op ieder geregistreerd hoofdrechtsgebied.
